Flame Resistant Clothing – Safety That Works for You
Let’s be honest, safety at work isn’t something you can skip. At NKE Safety Apparel, we get it. That’s why our flame resistant clothing is designed to protect professionals across all industries, while still being comfortable to wear. Whether you’re handling electrical work, working in industrial setups, or managing tasks in oil and gas, these clothes give you peace of mind without feeling restrictive.
Why Our Flame Resistant Clothing Stands Out
Frankly, not all protective gear is created equal. Our flame resistant clothing uses premium fabrics that resist fire, prevent burns, and stay breathable during long shifts. Every piece—from jackets and coveralls to shirts and pants-is carefully tested for quality and safety. By the way, comfort and durability matter just as much as protection, and our collection nails all three.
Focus on Work, Not Worries
Work is already challenging; worrying about safety shouldn’t make it harder. Wearing NKE Safety Apparel’s flame resistant clothes lets you focus on the job, knowing your gear has got your back. The designs are modern, versatile, and tailored for various industrial needs. You don’t have to compromise on mobility or style while staying protected.
Choosing the right flame resistant clothing isn’t just about compliance—it’s about investing in yourself and your team. With our collection, you get reliable protection, comfort, and confidence in every move.

Workwear questions, clearly answered
FR clothing should fit close enough to avoid excess loose fabric that could catch on equipment, but not so tight that it restricts movement or bunches up, which can create hot spots during a flash fire. A relaxed, non-baggy fit is generally recommended by safety experts.
Look for moisture-wicking or breathable fabric for comfort, stretch panels like spandex for mobility, and ripstop weaves for durability against tears. These features don't affect flame resistance but make a big difference in all-day wearability.
NFPA 2112 covers flash fire hazards, common in oil and gas, while NFPA 70E covers arc flash hazards in electrical work. Many FR garments are dual-certified to meet both, but always confirm the exact rating on the label matches your job's specific requirement.
For jobs with head or neck exposure to flash fire or arc flash, FR beanies and balaclavas add meaningful protection beyond just a shirt and pants. They're especially recommended for cold-weather outdoor work where a regular hat or scarf would otherwise be worn.
Standard FR clothing is designed and tested for flame and heat exposure, not chemical splash protection. If your job involves both hazards, you'll need separate chemical-resistant PPE layered with your FR clothing rather than relying on FR fabric alone.
A full FR outfit typically includes a certified FR shirt or T-shirt, FR pants or jeans, and an FR jacket, hoodie, or bib overall for added coverage in cold weather, plus accessories like an FR beanie or balaclava when head protection is needed.
